Steps to Follow

Remember to wash your hands before touching your healing tattoos.

For those using second skin, keep it on for 3-5 days. Expect some ink and plasma beneath it. Afterward, clean the tattoo with a fragrance-free antibacterial hand or body wash (make sure your hands are clean), pat it dry with a paper towel, then let it air-dry for 20-40 minutes before applying a small amount of cream.

If the second skin lifts and exposes the tattoo to the outside (or if any leaks occur), remove it immediately to prevent contamination.

If you're using cling wrap, take it off after 1.5 hours. Wash the tattoo using a fragrance-free antibacterial hand or body wash (ensure your hands are clean), pat dry with a paper towel, then air-dry for 20-40 minutes before applying a small amount of cream.

Avoid scented lotions, high alcohol content products, or anything you're allergic to. Don't put fingers back into the cream after touching your tattoo. Vaseline or petroleum jelly can trap moisture and bacteria, so steer clear of those.

Continue applying a small amount of cream 1-2 times daily until the tattoo heals (usually around 2 weeks), ensuring the tattoo doesn't dry out.

When possible, keep the tattoos elevated to minimize swelling.

Follow the artist's instructions regarding antihistamines, pain relievers, and any adjustments to this process.

Avoid lengthy hot showers or baths during the initial two weeks of healing.
